Other Invasive Species

Education & Prevention

ERCLA provides education and management efforts through volunteers to control invasive species within the Eagle River Chain of Lakes.

We are monitoring three specific invasives that threaten the Chain, and we some control measures in place. Purple Loosestrife is particularly prominent, followed by Garden Yellow Loosestrife and Yellow Iris. These three are present on the Chain and need to be effectively and regularly managed to ensure the native vegetation continues to thrive to support a healthy and robust ecosystem.
